LSI has established a new European warehouse and distribution centre at Heathrow Airport in the United Kingdom. Fully stocked with the complete range of LSI storage adapters, the new hub enables LSI to reduce product shipment times throughout Europe. As a result, LSI can now deliver most storage adapters within three days of order placement, allowing European distributors, system builders and resellers to improve their customer service without having to hold large inventories.

"As a longstanding partner of LSI, the introduction of this facility has allowed us to deliver an even better level of service to our customers with no increase in inventory. We can now react far more quickly to market demands," said Paul Matravers, sales director, Hammer.

"We work with leading manufacturers in the server and storage sector to offer the highest quality products and service levels to our customers," said Andreas Schlemmer, director of purchasing, product management and marketing, CPI Server & Storage, CPI GmbH. "The introduction of this facility has enabled us to improve response times to customers ordering board-level products from LSI."

LSI offers an extensive portfolio of high-performance MegaRAID® and host bus adapters to meet the diverse storage requirements of the system builder channel. LSI MegaRAID SAS/SATA and SCSI RAID adapters offer best-in-class performance, hard drive configuration flexibility and advanced data protection for applications such as e-mail, database queries, video streaming, video-on-demand and security. For applications that require scalability such as data mining, scientific simulation and database servers, LSI SAS/SATA, Fibre Channel and SCSI host bus adapters (HBAs) provide industry-leading performance, ease of integration and high availability at low cost.

"LSI is committed to its channel business," said Mike Rees, channel director, LSI Europe, "and we recognise that speed of delivery and cost of inventory provide a competitive advantage for our channel partners. Through the development of the new hub, we've given them the advantage of access to extensive inventories, but without the cost."
